Amazing BOSE Sound
The standard kit comprises laptops, mixers, and BOSE line array sound systems suitable for at least 200 people:
14 active (powered) speakers giving 260 watts of high quality sound.
Additionally we have our QTX PA system with two Sennheiser wireless microphones which we are happy for you to use, and we have an awning for outside events.
Sensibly Priced & Professional
I'm PL insured, PRS licensed, and an NADJ member; I play music for enjoyment, so I keep your costs down.
My fees are from only £35 per hour, which includes all the PAT tested kit, but mileage (from near Aylesbury) to be added; no VAT and usually no other costs.

We Offer Background Music
A huge selection of music - over 20,000 tracks - including classical, shows/films, jazz red-hot and cool, world music, orchestral, swing or simply pop and rock. This is music in the background to enjoy. If you are happy for your guests to dance - great - but if you want to fill a dance floor you need a full-on DJ.
You can leave the music choice to me, or I can send you a list of track titles to give you some idea of the range. Then I plan the playlist with you well before the event so that I can provide exactly the music that you and your guests prefer.

Guests always put requests to the DJ so I can make it easy for them by providing a list of 20,000 tracks from which they can choose – but I like you to tell me if any tracks are forbidden!
Some hosts give vouchers to their guests to ensure that everybody has an opportunity to hear their favourite requests.
And if you like, the Human Jukebox can make a brilliant contribution to your favourite charity. The guests make their choice and make a small donation – whatever you decide – for it to be played.
Afterwards I give you the proceeds and a report of the music played.
About The Old Rockers
Well, I'm old - but I do know music. I'm civilised (so I've been told) and helpful, and I DJ for enjoyment so I'm not expensive.
For decades The Old Rockers - Mike, Tim, John and Sean - were very well recommended for parties.
Today it's just one old rocker - Mike - working with clients to plan and share the best music, but without the hideous responsibility of filling the dance floor.
The preferred sets are for slightly older guests (age 50+). Unlike most DJs, I'm happy with any music: Bach, Bollywood; C&W; folk-rock; heavy metal; Irish traditional; jazz red-hot & cool; klezmer; salsa; ska; swing; World Music . . . whatever you want.
I don’t drink (well, very little) and I don’t talk, and it is not my brief to fill the dance floor. I arrive promptly and simply play the music at whatever volume you wish.
Currently I'm charging £35 per hour, 45p per mile from near Tring. Usually I'll go anywhere, but most of the events have been in Oxfordshire (Oxford, Bicester & Thame particularly), Bucks (Buckingham, Aylesbury and High Wycombe particularly), and Herts (Berkhamsted and Hemel particularly).
